I was born in Wedza, Zimbabwe, and my journey in the world of travel began when I moved to the beautiful town of Victoria Falls in the 1980s. It was here that I took my first steps into the hospitality industry, starting from entry-level positions and gradually working my way up to becoming a bartender at the renowned Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel. The vibrant atmosphere of this iconic location fueled my passion for travel and exploration.
As my love for travel deepened, I transitioned into roles that allowed me to connect with people from all walks of life. I began working as a travel consultant and later as a driver before embracing my calling as a tour guide. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of managing various hospitality properties and guiding adventurous souls in the stunning landscapes of Namibia.
In my quest to share the beauty of Southern Africa, I founded DK Tours and Safaris over 15 years ago. Since then, I’ve been on a continuous journey of exploration, guiding travellers through the breathtaking wonders of this incredible region. Each tour has deepened my appreciation for the natural world and the vibrant cultures that inhabit it.
Along the way, my son encouraged me to pick up photography, and I’ve been honing my skills ever since. Capturing stunning landscapes and wildlife has become a passion, allowing me to share my experiences in a visual way.
This blog is the culmination of my experiences, adventures, and passion for travel. Through “Webster – The Safari Sage,” I aim to inspire fellow travellers, share insights, and provide guidance for exploring the remarkable corners of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa.
